I-Stem Partners with the Government to Enhance the Sugamya Bharat App

I-Stem has recently joined forces with the Department of Disability Affairs, Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India along with our partners Mission Accessibility and national Association for the Blind Delhi. This partnership involves a significant upgrade of the Sugamya Bharat app, a vital tool launched as part of the Accessibility India Campaign in 2014.

Enhancing Accessibility Through Innovation

The upgrade of the Sugamya Bharat app will introduce several new features aimed at improving the experience for over 20 million users nationwide:

  • Intuitive User Interface: The app will feature an enhanced interface that is easy to navigate for users with various disabilities.

  • AI-Powered Chatbot: Leveraging artificial intelligence, the chatbot will provide customized responses to queries regarding disability rights, services, and government schemes, converting any inaccessible content into accessible and usable formats.

  • Targeted Notifications: The app will include a system to send personalized notifications about job opportunities, educational programs, and more, directly to the users
